All hail Legba Samedi Loa.

Lyrics

She is bleeding in my arms and there is nothing I can do.

The swords went clean through her body — Mon Dieu, there is no fix for you.

She laughed. Blood on her teeth. Blood on my hands.

"Legba," she whispered. "You have been a good servant."

"No one can fix me now." She said it like a fact.

She called the witnesses, the barons, the sacred — none held back.

"I have no heirs. The last Loa passed it on to me.

And I pass it now to Papa Legba." Then her eyes could no longer see.

Her hand went cold in mine. The blood stopped at her mouth.

She was supposed to live forever. How could the flame go out?

I held her like I held ma sœur — too late, too still, too gone.

She is... she is gone.

I never asked for this. I only came to serve.

She gave me everything — more than I deserve.

But the crown is on the ground and there is no one left to lead.

Hélas, the servant kneels — and stands up what they need.

"No. I cannot be Loa." My voice broke on the word.

I turned to the Mage — her most loyal man I've heard.

"You stood beside her for decades. Take the crown. It should be yours."

"Fout Tonné! She chose you, Legba — we must honor what she swore."

"I can't do it. Je ne peux pas."

"It is not a choice."

The démon army waits outside. The walls are running red.

I wanted to stay broken, but my people would be dead.

I never asked for this. I only came to serve.

She gave me everything — more than I deserve.

But the crown is on the ground and there is no one left to lead.

Hélas, the servant kneels — and stands up what they need.

They laid her down with incense and the rites of ancient days.

The barons and the mages knelt to honor what she gave.

I stood before the casket hoping that her eyes would wake —

Hélas, they didn't move. Mon Dieu, for all our sakes.

"Écoutez... I was lost, and you showed me a way.

You gave me what no one else could — you made the lost man stay.

Now Rada Mysters is my home, and I will guard it with my last —

just as you did, ma Loa, until your final breath had passed."

"Do you accept?" the Mage raised his hands on high.

"I swear on my life and soul — her legacy won't die."

"I accept."

They lifted the crown from her head... and placed it on mine.

"All hail Legba Samedi Loa!"

I never asked for this. I only came to serve.

She gave me everything — more than I deserve.

But the crown is on the ground and there is no one left to lead.

Hélas, the servant kneels — and stands up what they need.

I walked out to the rampart. Every soldier saw my face.

The crown upon my head where hers had been in grace.

And then it started — low, like thunder from the ground:

"Our Loa! Our Loa!" — the chant became the sound.

I am not the leader she was. Mais je suis là. But I am here.

We will honor her with a burial — but first, we conquer fear.

Every démon at our gates will learn the price of what they've done.

Every single one of them will pay. I said every one.

If they want to attack us — let them come!

For Legba Samedi Loa! For the Bondye!

If they want to attack us — let them come!

For Legba Samedi Loa! For the Bondye!

I told her once... she would not listen.

Now I wear her crown.

And I will make them listen.

Écoutez.
